About the Opportunity
We are looking to hire a Legal Associate (Contracts) to join our dynamic team at our Bengaluru office.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including NDAs, Master Service Agreements, Marketing Service Agreements, SAAS Agreements, and partner/vendor agreements.
Ensure contracts align with business objectives while effectively managing legal risks.
Contribute to legal projects by creating and improving templates, playbooks, training materials, policies, and processes—particularly around data privacy, security, FinTech regulations, and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Product, HR, and Risk to streamline legal workflows.
Maintain and enhance the contracts database, manage key terms tracking, and support contract reporting.
Utilize and help optimize the organization’s Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool for better efficiency.
Provide input on contract lifecycle improvements, including e-signatures, repository management, and operational efficiencies.
Manage contract renewals and monitor critical contractual obligations.
Stay updated with legal and regulatory developments impacting the FinTech sector and update templates and processes accordingly.
Support departmental initiatives and undertake additional responsibilities as needed.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
LL.B. from an accredited law school.
1–2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), preferably with a law firm or in an in-house legal team; prior experience in FinTech is highly desirable.
Strong negotiating and drafting skills with deep knowledge of contract law and its practical application.
Familiarity with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools and legal tech solutions is a strong advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail, proactive mindset, and willingness to learn and grow.
Ability to work effectively in a high-growth, startup environment.
