FUNCTIONS OF EXECUTIVE
These are some of the major functions of this government. Let’s see what they are in brief.
- The Primary Function of executive is to enforce the law and to maintain law and order in the state. For example IAS officers is a part of executive and they are responsible for maintaining the law & order in a state.
- The Executive Branch also appoints government officials and other department members. Where they set official standards as per their qualifications.
- It has the most important role in making a budget, they also make plans for spending money for public welfare and managing financial issues.
- It also handles foreign relations, diplomacy, and other things related to foreign relations.
- This organ of the government is the head of security. They handle all military systems and respond to threats.

TYPES OF EXECUTIVE
In this we have discussed several types of this organ of government:
- Nominal executive (Head of state)
The nominal is a symbolic head of a state who has no real power. In this, it can be a king or queen and president also who have only executive power.
- Real executive (Head of government)
This is the real head of the government who has real power. It is the head of the government and it leads the whole government. Its function is to make key decisions, and it also oversees the implementation of laws and policies.
